Saturday Night Cruise to the Mayfly Music Festival
Line up 5pm
Cruise runs from 6-9pm
Again this year we will be cruising to dowtown Dundee for the Dundee Mayfly Music Festival. Entertainment issues have been worked out with lots of new ideas for 2006. Responses from the residents of Dundee regarding the cars coming down M50 in parade style have been wonderful. We will be taking the same route as last year and will park around the Old Mill Museum (www.dundeeoldmill.com) and Wolverine Park.
There will be a sign-up sheet posted at the registration table on Friday and Saturday for anyone interested in going. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department will again be providing the escort from Cabela’s to the parking area. Deputy Dave (on motor bike) will lead with one or two following behind to make sure that we all get through the intersections together. This was so cool last year as all traffic was stopped for our flock of birds to pass as they headed to the River Raisin at the Old Mill to nest.
Please visit the Mayfly Music Festival’s website to see the great entertainment that is lined up for Saturday night. Admission to the festival is $5.00 for Friday or Saturday. Top notch entertainment with national headliners, kids games, kids inflatables, children’s entertainer, canoe and pontoon rides, rummage sale, plus commercial and community vendors, sponsor’s booths, beer tent and more.

Sunday night we will head over to Monroe, MI to have dinner at Pete’s Garage. Everyone who attended the past 3 years has had a great time. Pete’s has very good and reasonable food along with pool tables, video games, and more for everyone. This will be ordering off the menu and separate checks. We will have a sign up sheet at the registration table for anyone wanting to go.
